Responsibilities

  • A technical leader and electronics hardware architect for ADI’s robotics platform portfolio.
  • Partner with leaders across applications, technology groups, software and AI to define and evolve subsystem platform architecture (both PCB board & silicon level).
  • Ensure optimized system partitioning & scalable differentiation of complex subsystems ranging from sensing, actuation, perception, compute and safety.
  • Lead and balance system trade-offs between performance, power, functional safety, complexity and cost.
  • Partner with ADI AI and software teams to ensure architectural decisions are optimized from the ground up and optimized for common simulation platforms.
  • Define long‑term roadmap and product direction by translating user needs, ADI core technological capabilities & existing system performance to determine R&D investments in line with robotic architectural evolution.
  • Serve as a technical mentor and thought leader within the organization, raising the bar for engineering rigor and systems thinking.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in robotics hardware development, including at least 5 years leading system architecture.
  • Deep understanding of robotic system design, particularly electronic systems.
  • Proven experience in architecting and delivering complex electronic systems.
  • Familiarity with functional safety concepts.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience influencing decisions across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Hands‑on experience with real‑time control systems, and safety‑rated architectures. Familiarity with AI and reinforcement learning techniques applied to robotics learning and control.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $148,500 to $222,750. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance‑based bonus based on personal and company factors.
  • This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401(k), paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
