Accounting Manager

CBIZ Talent Solutions is assisting our client in their search for an Accounting Manager in the NYC Metro Area. This is an exciting opportunity to join a creative company working with entertainment artists.

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, managing the accounting team, supporting the month-end close and reporting process, and overseeing royalty accounting specific to the entertainment industry.

Responsibilities

• Accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. Prepare financial reports.
• Oversee royalty accounting processes.
• Budgeting, forecasting, analysis & reporting.
• Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience in the music, entertainment, or media industry is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., MS Business Central, Navision).

Base pay range: $100,000/yr – $130,000/yr.

Location: New York City Metropolitan Area.
