Forge Search is hiring: Accounting Manager in Myrtle Beach

Our client, a well-established and growing family-owned company based in Myrtle Beach, SC, is seeking a highly capable and relationship-oriented Accounting Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze key financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts in partnership with leadership.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and related filings.
• Maintain organized financial records and uphold the company’s reputation for integrity and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
• Work directly with department heads and project managers to provide financial insights that support sound business decisions.
• Look for ways to streamline processes and improve efficiency as the company continues to grow.
• Contribute to a collaborative and positive culture built on teamwork, open communication, and shared success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; experience in construction or project-based industries a plus but not required.
• CPA or active CPA track is a plus but not required.
• Prior leadership experience or strong desire to grow into a management role.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel; experience with construction accounting software a plus.
• Excellent communication skills — able to work comfortably with team members at all levels.
• Organized, dependable, and willing to “roll up your sleeves” when needed.
