Job Summary

The Accounting Clerk will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the accounting department in various administrative and bookkeeping tasks. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with large numbers, values precision, and thrives in a structured, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile bank statements, invoices, and expense reports.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and maintaining general ledger entries.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain digital filing systems for invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment or billing inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.

Skill Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or clerical finance roles is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (i.e. Quickbooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
