Empire Auto Parts is hiring: Delivery Driver in Knoxville

Overview

Delivery Driver at Empire Auto Parts. Report to Driver Supervisor. Motivated and detail-oriented, handle timely deliveries of aftermarket collision auto parts, collect payments, maintain positive customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a Sprinter van to deliver aftermarket collision auto parts to customers' specified locations.
• Follow delivery routes to optimize efficiency and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Handle and load auto parts with care to prevent damage during transit.
• Verify the accuracy of delivered items against the invoice and report any discrepancies.
• Collect payments from customers upon delivery, following company guidelines and protocols; handle cash and checks securely; report any payment issues or discrepancies.
• Interact with customers professionally and friendly, address inquiries and concerns, build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Conduct daily inspections of the delivery vehicle; perform routine maintenance tasks such as fueling, cleaning, and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, use seatbelts, maintain safe following distance, avoid distracted driving;
• Safely load and unload auto parts, secure items within the vehicle to prevent shifting during transit; use proper lifting techniques, safety equipment such as gloves and safety glasses.
• Maintain accurate records of delivery routes, payment transactions, and mileage; submit reports to the appropriate department as required.

Qualifications

• Great attitude and personality.
• Good communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proven work experience as a Delivery Driver.
• Ability to operate company-owned vehicle in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
• Good driving record/history.
• DOT (Preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
• At least 18 years old.
