ABGi is hiring on behalf of a respected CPA firm based in Kirkland, WA. They are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Tax Manager. Role focuses on high-level tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for non-profits, HNW individuals, private clients, estates & trusts. You will develop strategies that align with client financial goals. Responsibilities
Lead and oversee tax engagements ensuring high-quality service delivery for non-profits, HNW individuals, private clients, and estates & trusts. Develop and implement strategic tax planning initiatives to optimize client tax positions and minimize liabilities. Serve as a trusted advisor, providing tailored tax solutions and proactive recommendations to clients. Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Conduct thorough tax research and stay up to date with evolving tax laws and regulations. Collaborate with internal teams and partners to ensure a seamless client experience. Review complex tax returns and financial statements for accuracy and compliance. Identify business development opportunities and support client retention strategies. Provide training and guidance to junior staff, helping them develop technical and professional skills. Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree in Taxation preferred). Certification:
CPA license required. Experience:
Minimum of 8+ years of tax experience within a CPA firm, with a focus on non-profits, high-net-worth individuals, private clients, and estates & trusts. Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, tax research tools, and tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, CCH Axcess, or similar). Leadership:
Proven experience in managing teams, leading engagements, and developing client relationships. Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to clients. Detail-Oriented:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Client-Focused:
