Overview
We look forward to meeting driven, passionate and collaborative individuals to join our established and growing tax practice. We are seeking Tax Managers with 5+ years of high-net-worth individual tax experience in public accounting. Experience with estate planning implementation via trusts is a plus for our larger individual clients. CPA licensure is required.
Tax Managers work closely with our Senior Managers, Directors and Partners to provide innovative tax solutions for our sophisticated client base. We service a wide range of clients influenced by Silicon Valley, with our largest practice groups serving influential individuals in pre‑IPO and public companies, along with those running trade and investment partnerships across a variety of industries.
Primary responsibilities include reviewing complex returns as well as planning, projection and compliance projects. You will be responsible for providing thoughtful feedback to preparers and initial reviewers, corresponding with clients, and managing overall projects. Mentoring team members and transferring knowledge to those learning under you is highly valued by the Firm.
This position can be based out of our San Francisco or San Jose office, with 3 days per week expected on‑site.
Responsibilities
Review returns and other tax projects related to compliance, advisory, planning, research and consulting
Anticipate and identify client tax issues and concerns, providing consultative and strategic solutions
Mentor, train and supervise associates and senior associates
Work with leadership to formulate strategic business and tax planning recommendations
Identify ways to improve processes with a focus on providing the highest quality client service
Participate in the recruitment of new staff
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience serving complex, ultra-high net worth individuals
Active CPA license in California - required
Bachelor's and/or master’s degree with an emphasis in accounting/taxation
Experience training and mentoring staff
Passionate professional who understands the value of developing others
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $175,000. The highest in this range will be considered for the most closely experienced candidates. This pay range reflects the San Francisco Bay Area only.
