ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM
Join Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) as an Administrative Assistant in our Children’s Residential Program. This full‑time position supports program functions and under general supervision performs a variety of administrative and staff support duties.
What You’ll Do
Word‑process, enter data and prepare letters, tables, reports and other materials.
Greets visitors, screens and routes telephone calls.
Trains lower‑level secretarial and clerical staff.
Answers general inquiries concerning program activities and operations.
Maintains and updates files, records and other materials; orders supplies.
Sorts, screens and distributes incoming mail and drafts responses to inquiries.
Prepares photocopies, faxes and operates a variety of office equipment.
Performs miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned and assists in problem solving, project planning and execution of stated goals.
Provides executive secretarial services under limited direction.
What You Bring
Two (2) years of experience as a secretary or administrative assistant.
Formal secretarial or office‑management training may be substituted for experience.
Fluency on word‑processing and data‑input applications.
High level of interpersonal skill, poise and tact.
Attention to detail and ability to find solutions to administrative problems.
Analytical abilities and excellent written and oral communication.
Excellent knowledge of office procedures, organizational and project‑coordination skills.
Physical Requirements
Sit for up to two (2) hours at a time.
Use all office equipment.
Lift/carry 10 pounds for up to 10 feet; bend, squat on occasion.
Handle confidential and non‑routine information.
