Tenured or Tenure-Track Faculty – Computational Medicine The Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences and the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin are seeking a tenured or tenure‑track faculty member in Computational Medicine. The ideal candidate has a research program that combines mathematical, computational, and physical approaches to solving problems in medicine. Example areas include medical imaging, neurology, pediatrics, psychiatry, cardiovascular science, and oncology.

The successful candidate will be jointly appointed in the Oden Institute and the Dell Medical School. The appointment will be full‑time, at all ranks (assistant, associate, or full professor). Exceptional candidates may be considered for a chaired professorship.

Teaching duties will be in the Oden Institute’s Computational Science, Engineering and Mathematics graduate program. The faculty member will also be expected to participate in training and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows at Dell Medical School.

Research program: The candidate’s research program should combine mathematical, computational, and physical approaches. The institute focuses on predictive science, data science, machine learning, and physics‑based modeling using state‑of‑the‑art computing platforms.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in a relevant field, a strong record of research, and the ability to train graduate students and medical trainees.

Salary: $70,870 – $96,197 (annual).
