Job Description We are seeking a Financial Analyst to lead and provide dedicated financial support to our FP&A team and our software verticals within our innovative software business. Reporting to the Senior Director of FP&A, this role will partner closely with business unit leadership to drive financial performance, deliver actionable insights, and support strategic decision‑making. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem‑solver with strong financial acumen, a passion for narrative‑driven analysis, and expertise in cloud‑based software business models and economics.

This role is hybrid 3 days per week, based in our Alpharetta, GA office.

What You Will Do

Financial Modeling & Budgeting: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support forecasting, annual budgeting, and long‑range planning for assigned software verticals. Incorporate cloud‑specific metrics such as ARR, MRR, Gross/Net Retention, Churn, and customer acquisition costs.

Management Reporting: Develop and deliver concise, high‑impact management reports, exhibits, and dashboards tailored to vertical leadership and senior audiences. Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.

Deep Variance Analysis: Conduct thorough variance analysis to identify drivers of performance beyond the numbers, including operations, market, and customer trends. Provide root‑cause insights and recommendations to optimize business outcomes.

Narrative Crafting: Partner with vertical and senior business leadership to craft compelling financial and strategic narratives for board presentations, investor updates, and internal reviews. Align storytelling with business objectives and market dynamics.

Business Partnering: Act as a strategic partner to business partners, providing real‑time financial guidance on business performance, investment decisions, and resource allocation to drive efficiency and growth.

KPI Development and Monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to cloud‑software, such as customer lifetime value (LTV), annual recurring revenue (ARR), monthly recurring revenue (MRR), customer acquisition costs (CAC) economics, gross and net margin waterfalls and retention, and other trends.

Ad‑hoc Analysis: Support special projects, including M&A evaluations, competitive benchmarking, and scenario planning to drive vertical growth and profitability.

Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline FP&A processes, enhance data accuracy, and leverage automation tools to improve efficiency.

Purchase Order Analysis: Review and analyze existing and new purchase orders for remaining levels of spend in accordance with budgeted allowances and provide first line approvals / rejections of unbudgeted purchase request.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field

Minimum of 2‑4 years of progressive FP&A experience, with a track record of supporting senior leadership in a software company

Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (pivot tables, complex lookup formulas, etc.)

Experience with cloud‑based FP&A tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights and NetSuite) and BI platforms

Familiarity with SaaS models, metrics, revenue recognition principles, and margin analysis

Exceptional ability to perform deep variance analysis, connecting financial results to operational and market drivers

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for crafting clear, persuasive financial narratives for diverse audiences

Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels

Thrives in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented software environment with an ability to prioritize effectively

Excellent analytical and organizational skills
