Overview A Java developer is a specialized programmer who collaborates with software engineers and web developers to integrate Java into applications, software, and websites. He is responsible for developing robust code that can be easily integrated with larger systems, playing a vital role in the software development life cycle. He serves many duties—from design to testing—during the software development such as design, development, and management of Java-based applications.
Responsibilities
Designing, implementing, and maintaining Java applications that are often high-volume and low-latency, required for mission‑critical systems
Delivering high availability and performance
Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle
Writing well‑designed, efficient, and testable code
Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging
Managing Java and Java EE application development
Ensuring designs comply with specifications
Preparing and producing releases of software components
Transforming requirements into stipulations
Support continuous improvement
Investigating alternatives and technologies
Presenting for architectural review
Qualifications
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field, 0‑2 years of experience required
