Staff Accountant
Paradies Lagardère is recruiting a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Team. The Staff Accountant will assist in all aspects of inventory accounting, fixed assets and general accounting. Primary responsibilities include assisting with monthly physical inventories, analysis of cost of sales accounts, various journal entries and reconciliations as well as other duties that require Staff level accounting work.
The Staff Accountant will be skilled in time management, organization, communication and the ability to execute an assignment through to completion. This position will report directly to the Director of Accounting and will also interact with upper management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal are a must.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the inventory project leaders for platform physical inventories
Assist in supporting the platforms with inventory questions
Analyze various cost of sales accounts
Work closely with fixed assets department to handle the additions of fixed assets
Prepare reports for fixed assets added
Assist in settling fixed assets internal orders
Ownership of various miscellaneous accruals
Assist with preparation of year-end audit work papers and responses to audit inquiries
Ad-hoc project completion and continuous process improvement initiatives
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS
Required: BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting
Required: 2+ years public or private accounting experience
Proficiency in excel and SAP S4/HANA
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Desire to identify and implement process improvements
Must have strong communication and organizational skills
Able to handle highly sensitive and confidential information
Work with a consistent sense of urgency and attention to detail
Able to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations
Team player and be ready to help where needed
