Job Summary
Responsible for supporting ThinKom’s overall IT operations, infrastructure reliability, and compliance posture under CMMC and FedRAMP guidelines. This role blends hands‑on technical support with security administration and documentation, ensuring the company’s systems, users, and data are secure, efficient, and audit‑ready.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Systems Administration & Support
Administer and maintain core IT infrastructure (servers, networking, user endpoints).
Manage Google Workspace Enterprise (FedRAMP Edition) – user accounts, groups, SSO, MFA, and data retention policies.
Provide Tier 2–3 support for user issues related to email, connectivity, VPN, file access, etc.
Oversee Active Directory / Azure AD synchronization and group policy enforcement.
Maintain BitLocker encryption, endpoint MDM controls (Windows/Intune), and ensure proper device enrollment.
Coordinate with HR for user onboarding/offboarding workflows, ensuring timely access provisioning and revocation.
Security & Compliance
Manage and document security controls in support of CMMC/NIST 800‑171 compliance.
Administer and monitor Darktrace and SentinelOne dashboards, responding to alerts and escalating incidents.
Enforce company security policies: password management, MFA, and least‑privilege access.
Generate compliance evidence (screenshots, logs, reports) and maintain documentation on shared compliance drive.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to prepare for self‑assessment and government audits.
Support VPN administration (e.g., site‑to‑site and user‑based VPNs integrated with AD and MFA).
Network & Infrastructure
Monitor and maintain network connectivity across multiple ThinKom buildings (LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi).
Collaborate with vendors and IT consultants for firewall, switch, and access point configurations.
Ensure uptime of critical systems, servers, and shared storage.
IT Asset & License Management
Oversee & track hardware assets (engineering, office, spares, and loaners) and ensure MDM enrollment and encryption.
Maintain inventory logs and coordinate laptop orders with Finance and IT.
Manage licensing.
Skills And Experience Needed
College degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
3‑5 years min experience in an IT administration or IT security role.
Operating Systems: Windows 10/11, Windows Server, macOS, Linux.
Cloud & Productivity: Google Workspace Enterprise (Admin Console, Vault, Drive, Groups, APIs, etc.).
Security Tools: Darktrace, SentinelOne, BitLocker, Intune, VPN (OpenVPN, Fortinet, or Cisco), MFA/SSO.
Network Management: VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, switches, and Wi‑Fi management.
Compliance & Documentation: NIST 800‑171, CMMC, FedRAMP, audit trail reporting.
Experience supporting hybrid environments (on‑prem + cloud) preferred.
Exposure to government or defense sector compliance (CMMC, DFARS, FedRAMP) preferred.
Other Abilities Needed
Strong customer service orientation (always willing to help).
Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.
Clear written and verbal communication.
Ability to collaborate across departments (HR, Accounting, Engineering).
Self‑starter who can manage priorities independently while aligning with compliance and audit goals.
Additional Requirements
Must be eligible to obtain and hold a US DoD Security Clearance.

This position uses a computer terminal to access, input, and retrieve data.
This position may be subject to frequent or occasional on‑the‑job interruptions that may cause a change in immediate priorities and/or work focus.
While performing duties of this position, employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, and/or bend.
May occasionally be required to lift, push, or pull maximum of 50 lbs.
May be subjected to occasional irregular or extended work hours.
Must be able to work in an environment that may be subject to occasional loud noises, hazardous materials and chemicals.
Salary $100,000 - $130,000
