Business Analyst – Private Equity Focus
Anblicks is seeking a Business Analyst with exceptional Private Equity domain expertise and strong data analysis skills.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Management: Elicit, document, and manage detailed business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for projects impacting PE front, middle, and back‑office operations (e.g., CRM/Deal Pipeline, Portfolio Monitoring, Investor Relations).
PE Subject Matter Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of fund structures, capital calls, distributions, waterfall calculations, performance metrics (IRR, TVPI, MOIC), and regulatory reporting within the PE space.
Data Analysis & Modeling: Utilize SQL, Excel, and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) to query PE data, validate data quality, conduct preliminary analysis for requirements clarification, and assist in design of reporting dashboards.
Process Optimization: Analyze current business processes and data flows, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions leveraging technology and data governance.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as primary liaison between investment teams, finance/operations, and technology, translating complex business problems and data findings into actionable technical specifications.
UAT & Implementation: Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and data validation, ensuring final solutions meet business requirements and are seamlessly adopted by the PE team.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, supporting a Private Equity firm, Fund Administrator, or related financial services sector.
Deep functional understanding of Private Equity business processes and underlying data models.
Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets.
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and modeling.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
