Senior Life Safety Systems Drafter / BIM Designer
Join Jacobs as a Senior Life Safety Systems Drafter/BIM Designer. This hybrid position is ideally based in Austin, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Portland, OR, Pittsburgh, PA, or Albany, NY.
We are looking for a Senior Life Safety Systems Drafter / BIM Designer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You'll work on semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, and other state‑of‑the‑arts manufacturing and research facilities, delivering world‑class designs.
Responsibilities Perform computer‑aided drafting and design of Life Safety and Security Systems for advanced facilities. Coordinate complex packages with multi‑disciplinary engineers and design leads. Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create 3D BIM models and assist with layouts for Fire Alarm Detection Systems, HPM leak detection, Toxic Gas Management Systems, and Security and Intrusion detection systems.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent
At least 10 years of AutoCAD experience (preferably Revit experience)
Ideally, you’ll also have
3-5 years of systems design experience
Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
Knowledge of Fire/Life Safety systems and manufacturer’s equipment
Industrial design experience
Autodesk Certification Professional ACP or other drafting technologies certifications
Base Pay Range $79,200.00/yr – $123,750.00/yr
