Your Mission:
Combat designers on World of Warcraft help create the connection between the player and the world of Azeroth by designing the minute‑to‑minute gameplay and delivering engaging combat. As a Senior Combat Designer, you will contribute to developing player spells, talents, game balance and tuning.
Responsibilities
Design new spells and talents that enhance combat.
Analyze player expectations and behavior to refine class design and balance.
Collaborate closely with production to meet delivery schedules.
Work inter‑disciplinary with artists, sound designers and engineers.
Participate in an inclusive culture.
Minimum Requirements
8+ years of game design experience for live service or SaaS product.
Experience designing class abilities or combat mechanics in open world RPG or MMO.
Proven skills in game development best practices.
Knowledge & Skills
Proficient in Excel, game engines and proprietary tools.
Creative thinker who finds fun solutions to design problems.
Strong understanding of combat in World of Warcraft.
Collaborative cross‑functional experience.
