Duties, Responsibilities & Other
The Project Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to: Leading geomorphological assessments including non-datum survey; photo documentation; and sediment sampling. Building 3D surfaces in MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil3D to accurately represent existing and proposed surfaces. Developing conceptual designs and reports articulating alternatives and reflecting them via ArcGIS or MicroStation. Developing detailed engineering stream restoration designs including plans, reports, specifications, engineer’s estimate. Estimating credits based on the Bay Protocols for Urban Stream Restoration. Estimating functional feet and buffer credits using the Maryland Stream Mitigation Framework. Determining design discharge. Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling. Overseeing construction and post construction performance monitoring with associated asbuilt and monitoring report development. Additional Preferred Qualification Details
Ability to work in a team environment, with individuals in other geographies Ability to perform Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) analysis using TR-55 and TR-20; and HEC-RAS or other programs accepted by regulatory agencies Ability to perform and document Protocol computations for Sediment and Nutrient load reductions and equivalent impervious acre credits Experience in State, Federal, and Local permitting Experience in resilience or climate adaptation plans and projects Experience in living shorelines and coastal restoration Masters or appropriate graduate work Essential Duties and Responsibilities are the basic job functions that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry) Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Proven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring engineering projects. Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment. Education And/or Work Experience Preferred
Master’s Degree Certificates, Licenses, And/or Registrations Required
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) Pre-employment drug screening and background investigations are a condition of employment. Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position. Seniority level
