Senior Federal Facilities Project Architect
at one of the following office locations: Dallas, TX; Lexington, SC; or Tampa, FL. The position will lead project teams delivering architectural services for military or other federal facility projects. Responsibilities
Coordinating multi-disciplinary in-house and sub-consultant team members Working closely with clients and contractor/developer design/build partners Assisting the Project Manager with pursuing projects Coordinating and leading project teams Building and maintaining strong client relationships Developing and executing project work plans Mentoring younger technical staff Scheduling and facilitating team and client meetings Developing and delivering presentations to clients, partners, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in architecture from an accredited college or university At least 15 years of relevant project experience Current architectural license and ability to obtain licensure in additional states as needed A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required The Ideal Candidate Will Have Any/all The Following
Experience leading architectural teams through each stage of project development for aviation and federal facilities Experience interfacing with clients and stakeholders Experience mentoring younger technical staff Experience leading architectural teams through bidding and construction administration phase services for aviation facilities LEED AP, WELL Accredited Professional, or Guiding Principles Compliance Professional NCARB Certified Business development experience — seeking out and pursuing new project opportunities in coordination with a team Experience leading architectural services for military or federal facilities projects Why Mead & Hunt
