Summary / Objective The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for managing employee relations issues across the organization, with a focus on resolution, documentation, and risk mitigation. This role partners closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to address employee concerns, coach on performance matters, and uphold isolved's standards of accountability and respect in the workplace. The Employee Relations Manager handles a high volume of cases and ensures consistent, compliant, and tactful handling of sensitive matters across business units.
Core Job Duties
Manage employee relations cases from intake through resolution, including investigations, documentation, and recommendations
Partner with HR Business Partners to support resolution of performance, conduct, and attendance issues
Provide consultation to business leaders on corrective action and ensure alignment with isolved policies and best practices
Track, document, and monitor trends in employee relations cases to identify risks or opportunities for proactive education
Prepare documentation related to employee outcomes, including final warnings and separation summaries
Support the creation and delivery of tools, templates, and manager education for consistent employee relations handling
Maintain working knowledge of relevant employment laws and ensure ER practices remain compliant
Escalate high-risk issues to senior HR leadership with clear summaries, risk assessment, and recommendations
Act as a neutral, confidential point of contact for employees raising concerns
Partner with legal and compliance teams as needed for investigations, audits, or case reviews
Experience Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
Minimum Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in employee relations or a related HR role with primary responsibility for case management
Strong working knowledge of employment law, performance documentation, and ER best practices
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and complex issues with discretion and sound judgment
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize issues clearly and professionally
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field
Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
Travel Required Yes, up to 15% domestic travel may be required.
Work Authorization Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
