Onboarding Project Manager – Responsibilities The Onboarding Project Manager will be part of the Global Equity Solutions group within the Morgan Stanley at Work organization. The Global Equity Solutions team is responsible for the engagement and onboarding of corporate clients and their equity administration information. The candidate will work cross‑functionally towards a goal of successful end‑to‑end delivery of onboarding projects, building exceptional relationships, and thriving in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
Serve as the primary contact for assigned corporate clients throughout the onboarding process.
Use established templates, tools & processes to act as the key contact between new clients and internal stakeholders to establish project milestones and timelines.
Engage in scoping and requirements gathering, understand customer needs and relay them back to the onboarding technical specialist and/or software development team where appropriate.
Establish and meet goals, assign and direct the work of others, and manage multiple requests with minimal direction.
Enforce project schedules, deadlines and standards.
Lead project reviews to assess schedule, processes, risks and facilitate communication and negotiation.
Provide regular status reports to applicable managers, executive team and the client as required.
Actively participate in resolution of issues and conflicts internally as well as with clients and vendors where appropriate, escalating issues in an appropriate, timely and tactful manner.
Qualifications
BS / BA degree (or equivalent education, training and experience).
Minimum of two years’ experience managing software and/or implementation projects with a high level of client interaction (or equivalent experience in a Technical Customer Service role).
Proven track record in successfully handling multiple projects with competing priorities. Ability to multi‑task and reprioritize activities with minimal supervision.
Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Proficiency with equity compensation management software (Equity Edge Online or Shareworks), Salesforce and/or TaskRay, preferred.
Equity Compensation Associate (ECA) or Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation, preferred.
Brokerage Industry Knowledge, preferred.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
