TITLE:

Lead Software Engineer

LOCATION:

Washington, D.C. and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. (remote position)

Responsibilities

Collaborates with enterprise architect and technical personnel in designing and implementing comprehensive workforce management solutions using UKG suite of modules, including Time and Attendance, Scheduling, Payroll, and HR.

Evaluates existing applications and platform and provides recommendations for system enhancements with ProWFM/WFC application by conducting gap analysis, and identifying feasible alternative solutions.

Customizes solutions to meet specific organizational needs including compliance with labor laws and union agreements, optimizing system performance, and providing strategic guidance to enhance operational efficiency.

Leverages expertise of ProWFM advanced workforce planning and Boomi for seamless data integration across various enterprise systems.

Provides expertise with migration of data from legacy systems to UKG Kronos, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Ensures that the ProWFM/WFC application design and implementation meet Amtrak’s Security and Quality Assurance standards.

Leads training and support initiatives to ensure effective user adoption and continuous improvement, leveraging knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field followed by eight (8) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Lead Software Engineer or any occupation related to Software Development.

Eight (8) years of experience in one or more of the following: (1) Using UKG/Kronos products for WFC modules and prior versions (Time & Attendance, Time off Requests, Function Access Profile, Display Profiles, Pay Rules, Work Rules, Holiday Building Blocks); (2) Developing and supporting Workforce Integration Manager (WIM) and Dell Boomi Integration; (3) Developing reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for WFC; (4) Configuring and supporting Workforce Absence Management, Advance Scheduler, Workforce Forecasting, Workforce Process Manager, and Accruals; (5) Configuring and supporting Workforce Telestaff. All experience may be acquired concurrently.

Remote work permitted in accordance with company policy.

Compensation SALARY:

$128,000 - $149,400 per year
