Construction Manager / Owners Rep (Commissioning Oversight)

DataX Connect are partnered with a top-tier Owners Representative and engineering consultancy in the hyperscale data center space who are looking for a Commissioning Construction Manager (CxCM) to join there team.

About the Role This is not your typical construction management job. As a CxCM, you'll act as the owners on-site representative and subject matter expert across commissioning levels L1L5. Youll ensure infrastructure is delivered on schedule, fully tested, and ready for seamless handoff, while upholding the highest standards in quality, safety, and compliance. You'll be embedded in a major data center project in Columbus, OH, followed by additional high-impact projects across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities Represent the owners interests onsite across all commissioning phases (L1L5) Manage cross-functional commissioning efforts with contractors, vendors, and OEMs Enforce QA/QC standards, track readiness, and resolve issues early to ensure on-time operational turnover Use tools like
Procore, BIM 360, MS Project , and more to maintain documentation and reporting Uphold site safety and LOTO policies while facilitating technical excellence
What You Bring Proven experience commissioning
electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
in mission-critical environments Strong communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and resolve conflicts proactively Familiarity with data center MEP infrastructure and commissioning best practices Ability to travel extensively and/or relocate to project sites as needed Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or related field
or equivalent technical experience
