is seeking a full-time
Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)
to support a self-contained classroom of 8 neurodivergent students (ages 57) with complex behavioral and medical needs. The OT will collaborate closely with the RN, BCBA, teaching staff, and multidisciplinary team to promote sensory regulation, fine motor development, and independence in daily activities within a supportive school-based environment.
Occupational Therapist Responsibilities: Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students ages 57 Develop individualized treatment plans focused on sensory regulation, motor skills, and adaptive functioning Collaborate with the RN, BCBA, PT, teachers, and paraprofessionals to support classroom Conduct assessments and implement sensory diets, fine and gross motor interventions, and environmental adaptations Support students learning through positioning, mobility, and functional task engagement Participate in team meetings, data collection, and interdisciplinary treatment planning Educate and model strategies for classroom staff to reinforce therapeutic goals Promote a trauma-informed, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment
Occupational Therapist Requirements: Active California OT license (OTR/L)
required Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
required Minimum 2 years of pediatric experience, in school-based or neurodivergent settings Experience supporting students with autism, sensory processing, or complex developmental needs (required) Strong documentation, assessment, and communication skills Full-time, year-round availability MondayFriday on school days Must pass criminal background check and fingerprinting (required) Reliable transportation and ability to report onsite daily in Belmont, CA 94002
Occupational Therapist Compensation: $130,000
