Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Hydraulic Field Service Technician to join its Fluid Power Division.
Job description Travel required, up to 150miles, including possible overnight.
POSITION SUMMARY Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and components both in the branch and off site (customers and other locations.)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and components. Diagnose problems, prepare estimates for repairs. Repair and install new systems in the field. Keep work area/truck clean and organized. Maintain proper inventory on service vehicle. Maintain a professional image and relationship with customers. Identify new business opportunities while on customer premises.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS AND ABILITIES Experience should demonstrate proficiencies in the following areas: Ability to determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcome. Skill to formulate a sound decision using available information. Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a task. Work at customer site in accordance with their work rules.
Education: High School degree or equivalent
Experience:
Five years hydraulic experience
Skills taught after hire as needed:
ISO Training, Safety Training, Product Training, System Design, Quality Training
Other Requirements:
Valid Drivers License, Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
Travel Requirements:
Travel required
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Works in indoors/outdoors in an uncontrolled environment
