We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and coordinate all phases of our construction projects. My client is one of the most reputable, well-established GC/Developers across the Chicagoland area. They specialize in tenant interiors, retail, adaptive reuse, commercial renovations, and more. Due to their strong reputation and relationships with clients, they are always staying busy with new construction and renovation projects. Completing roughly $30M in annual revenue, due to their strong project backlog, they are looking to add a Superintendent to their team to assist with continued growth.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations on construction sites; oversee subcontractors, trades, and laborers Develop and maintain project timelines; coordinate deliveries, work phases, and inspections to avoid delays Ensure work is performed according to project specifications, drawings, and building codes Serve as the primary point of contact between project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients Maintain daily logs, track progress, report delays or issues to project managers, and assist with cost control Identify and address issues that could impact the projects timeline, quality, or budget Enforce company and OSHA safety protocols; conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections
Qualifications
5+ years experience in an Assistant Superintendent/Superintendent position Ability to utilize project management software Experience with scheduling using Microsoft Project OSHA30 certified
