Our client is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to a wide range of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects from concept through completion.
The selected individual will play a key role in the structural design process, collaborating with multiple different teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
Responsibilities: Lead and support the structural design and analysis of new buildings, additions, and renovations. Prepare framing plans, foundation designs, and detailed structural drawings. Develop and review construction documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability. Collaborate with architectural, civil, and construction staff to coordinate design efforts and resolve technical challenges. Review and approve supplier and fabricator shop drawings for structural compliance. Estimate materials and labor for self-perform work and coordinate delivery of structural components. Partner with design and project teams to identify value engineering opportunities and optimize building layouts. Interact with clients, consultants, and permitting authorities in support of design and construction activities.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within one year. Minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete and steel structural design. Proficiency in CAD or Tekla; Revit experience preferred. Strong understanding of construction methods, steel erection, and the economics of design. Detail-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
