5x8 Days | 20 Weeks Pay:

$2700/week

Job Details: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a teaching hospital environment, including cardiac, general, and specialty nuclear medicine studies. This position requires independent operation of imaging equipment, handling of radioactive materials, and delivering quality imaging to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment.

Primary Responsibilities Include: Independently perform dynamic, planar, SPECT, and SPECT/CT scans according to established protocols Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals; manage radioactive shipments, administration records, and disposal per IEMA and NRC regulations Review and verify physician orders, consult with patients/families, and document medical history using EMR systems Position patients and operate scanners with minimal supervision; process and manipulate image data for optimal results Perform and document all QC procedures on scanners and associated equipment (Geiger counter, dose calibrator, well counter, etc.) Maintain a clean and organized work area, monitor inventory, and restock supplies as needed Support students or new personnel through demonstrations of nuclear medicine techniques Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and professional appearance guidelines Participate in continuous quality improvement and stay updated on new technologies and procedures

Skills Required: Ability to perform IV injections and administer isotopes using sterile techniques Skilled in managing nuclear medicine equipment, troubleshooting systems, and performing image quality control Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills Comfortable working independently and in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and staff Experience with EPIC and Radiant systems preferred

Certifications Required: ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB certification American Heart Association BLS certification

Preferred Experience: Minimum of 2

year

of recent experience in General Nuclear Medicine
