Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead the successful on-site execution of commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects ranging from $5M to $15M. This full-time role involves supervising field teams, enforcing safety protocols, managing daily operations, and ensuring high standards of quality and schedule performance. The Superintendent will be the primary leader on-site, coordinating subcontractors, working closely with project managers, and serving as the go-to contact for clients and stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day site operations, overseeing crews of up to 20 workers. Maintain jobsite organization, cleanliness, and safety in compliance with OSHA standards. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and deliveries. Enforce project timelines, quality expectations, and safety procedures. Interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents; update redlines and as-builts as needed. Ensure thorough documentation: daily reports, material tracking, quantity logs, and receipts. Manage changes in scope and communicate relevant updates to project managers. Conduct walkthroughs, inspections, and end-of-day closeouts to ensure progress and site readiness. Assist or perform skilled construction work when necessary. Identify and address field issues or delays; coordinate resolutions with the broader team.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years in field construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or superintendent role. Demonstrated success managing commercial or industrial construction projects valued between $5M$15M. Solid understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and site logistics. Proficient in reading construction plans and technical specifications. OSHA 30 certification (or OSHA 10 with commitment to complete 30-hour within 90 days). Experience using project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word). Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage project milestones, production schedules, and quality control measures effectively. Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs, climb ladders, and navigate active job sites. Valid drivers license required.
