Reports To Studio Manager / Head Coach

Position Summary As an Orangetheory Fitness Coach, you’ll be the energy behind the workout. You’ll lead up to 36 members through dynamic, science-backed training sessions using Orangetheory’s proprietary method that blends cardio, strength, and power training. This role requires excellent coaching skills, time management, and the ability to motivate diverse fitness levels in a fast-paced group setting.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Orangetheory group workouts for up to 36 participants, delivering high-energy, engaging sessions that align with our methodology

Ensure the safety of all participants by providing real-time exercise corrections and modifications

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio, especially the fitness floor

Help build class attendance and member retention through motivation, personal connection, and professional support

Represent Orangetheory at internal and external marketing events and initiatives

Stay current with Orangetheory programming and attend all required monthly team meetings, webinars, and continuing education opportunities

Qualifications

Current nationally accredited fitness certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, AFAA, NFPT, NPTI, etc.) – Required

Current CPR/AED Certification – Required

1+ years of experience in personal training and/or group fitness instruction – Preferred

Intermediate knowledge of physiology, body mechanics, and functional movement

Ability to lead, motivate, and adapt training to all fitness levels in real time

Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field – Preferred

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Must be physically capable of demonstrating all exercises and lifting up to 40 lbs

Physical Demands

Must be able to actively demonstrate and perform exercises throughout the class

Ability to remain standing and vocal for the duration of the 60-minute workout

Frequently required to lift, bend, twist, and move equipment (e.g., dumbbells, TRX, medicine balls, Bosu balls, ab dollies)

Salary Description $30-75/ hour
