Statistical Process Control/ StatisticalQuality Control Data Analyst - New Johnsonville, TN

Data analyst role focused on collecting, cleaning, processing, and interpreting data to derive actionable insights that help Matheson make informed decisions, improve performance, and solve problems. Core Responsibilities

Data Collection & Acquisition: Gathers data from various primary and secondary sources. Data Cleaning & Preparation: Cleans and processes raw data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and readiness for analysis. Data Analysis: Conducts statistical analysis and uses various methods to identify trends, patterns, and relationships within datasets. Insight: Translates complex data into meaningful, actionable insights for business stakeholders. Reporting & Visualization: Creates reports, charts, and dashboards to present findings to internal teams and senior stakeholders in an understandable format. Database Management: Sets up and maintains databases and data infrastructure. Collaboration: Works with technical and non-technical teams to understand business needs and present data-driven solutions. Key Skills & Tools

Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization software (NWA, Minitab). Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data, identify root causes, and draw meaningful conclusions. Statistical Knowledge: Understanding of statistical techniques like regression analysis to interpret data patterns. Communication: Strong skills in communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Problem-Solving: Applying data analysis to solve specific business challenges and identify new opportunities. Purpose of the Role

The primary goal of a data analyst is to convert raw data into understandable information and insights and effectively communicate it to stakeholders. It enables businesses to understand customer behavior, improve processes, and make strategic decisions. Responsibilities

Work closely with project managers to understand analytics needs and deliver actionable insights. Proactively analyze data to answer key stakeholder questions and investigate improvement areas. Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations and reporting components from multiple data sources. Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic to ensure scalability and performance. Develop and maintain databases and build scripts for flexible data evaluation. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications

Three or more years of experience mining data as a data analyst. Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization. Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations. Strong SQL or Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools. Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science, economics, or statistics. Experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques. Strong programming experience with frameworks, including XML, JavaScript, and ETL. Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages, including Excel, NWA, and Minitab. Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
