Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) under the supervision of a licensed nurse performs delegated tasks and procedures of patient care, involving the physical, psychological, social, emotional, safety, and security needs of the patient.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provides activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary and ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
Provides care by administering enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths.
Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine and recording intake and output information.
Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.
Handles the care and cleaning of specific equipment, stocking of supplies and equipment and the transportation of patients, supplies and equipment.
Any and all other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
High School Diploma / GED required.
Registered as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of New Jersey.
BLS (American Heart Association) required.
Previous relevant patient care experience.
