The Beach House Fort Lauderdale, a Hilton Resort is looking for a Banquet Manager to join the team. The property has 10,700 sq‑foot of event space with 10 meeting rooms. This role will oversee a team of 15‑20 people, including 2 banquet captains.
Responsibilities
Manage daily banquet functions including breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, galas, etc.
Oversee set‑up of function rooms, including placement of linens, silverware, glassware, chinaware according to event specifications and conduct full inspection.
Monitor and develop team member performance, providing supervision, scheduling, counseling, evaluations, and recognition.
Recruit, interview, train team members.
Communicate function specifications, procedures and changes with affected departments including Food & Beverage, Event Services, Property Operations, Audio & Visual and Housekeeping.
Oversee break down of function rooms and ensure proper storage of equipment.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
Qualifications
At least 3‑5 years of banquet experience, with 1‑2 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
Detail oriented, with vision to enhance operations.
Proficiency with Delphi and Agilysis is a plus.
Open availability required.
