Position Summary The

IT Business Analyst

bridges the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The analyst analyzes and documents business requirements, identifies solutions, and supports project implementations to improve processes, efficiency, and technology use.

Compensation This position offers a competitive compensation package benchmarked to regional market standards, consisting of a base salary plus quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.

Responsibilities

Engage stakeholders to understand business needs and gather requirements.

Document and analyze business processes, identifying areas for improvement.

Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for IT teams.

Develop and propose solutions that meet business requirements, aligning with organizational goals.

Collaborate with IT and development teams to design, document, and test solutions.

Create detailed documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs) and functional specifications.

Work closely with project managers to support planning, scheduling, and execution.

Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (development, QA, etc.) to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.

Assist in change management activities to enable smooth transitions for users.

Develop test cases and participate in system testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) with end‑users and gather feedback for improvements.

Troubleshoot issues during testing phases and collaborate on solutions.

Use data analysis techniques to evaluate the impact of IT solutions and identify further improvements.

Provide insights and data‑driven recommendations to stakeholders.

Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Communicate project updates, timelines, and risks effectively to all stakeholders.

Train users on new systems and provide support during and after implementation.

Build and maintain a working relationship with business partners.

Requirements MUST HAVE

2–5 years of experience in business analysis or related field within IT.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, system analysis, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Strong understanding of business processes, systems analysis, and IT infrastructure.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, time management, organization, and communication skills.

Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).

Familiarity with project management frameworks and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, JIRA).

Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and UAT. Hands‑on experience working in cross‑functional teams and on IT projects.

Knowledge of SDLC methodologies.

A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and value‑driven project outcomes.

Ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced, changing environment and respond to shifting priorities.

NICE TO HAVE

Technical knowledge in areas like software development, systems integration, and data management.

Experience with CRM, ERP, Fleet Management, Transportation Management, Customer Experience, and Marketing platforms is all a plus.

Location Onsite in Fort Wayne, IN. Operating hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET.
