Manager, Energy & Finance Market Products
The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) manages the efficient flow of electricity on more than 11,000 circuit‑miles of high‑voltage transmission lines, dispatching power from hundreds of generating units across the state.
The Manager, Energy & Finance Market Products is responsible for evolving the energy and finance products through long‑term and short‑term planning and implementing changes in support of the product roadmap. The Manager collaborates with Business areas on product vision to develop product roadmaps, owns the implementation of annual business plan commitments, and enhances the Business toolsets.
Key responsibilities:
Lead processes for creating, enhancing, developing, evolving and improving internal products as identified in the product portfolio.
Produce and own product development roadmaps, considering regulatory requirements, NYISO strategic plan, IT strategy, and stakeholder needs.
Own the development, management and execution of the annual product portfolio.
Track progress, measure adoption, identify satisfaction levels, and report status to achieve objectives.
Manage NYISO projects in accordance with project budgets and strategic plan, coordinating changes through Enterprise Change Management.
Establish roadmap schedules for feature set delivery integrated with enterprise software release schedule.
Interface with stakeholders to define product requirements for new features and validate compliance objectives.
Provide project management oversight for implementation of technical infrastructure enhancements and new features within the Product Line.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field required. MBA or advanced degree desired.
Minimum ten years of professional experience in a technical industry; experience in product marketing or product development, and knowledge of electric power systems or wholesale electric markets desired.
Knowledge of product management principles, marketing processes, and tools.
Knowledge of project management principles, processes, and tools.
Project experience with IT projects and business experience in electric power systems or wholesale electric markets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
