Overview
The Vice President, Real Estate, Facilities, Safety & Security serves as the senior executive responsible for the strategic leadership and management of UF Health's real estate portfolio, facility operations, physical environment, and enterprise safety and security programs. Responsibilities
This role oversees all aspects of real estate strategy, facility planning and operations, capital project delivery, maintenance, safety, emergency management, and physical security across the UF Health system. The position plays a key role in ensuring that UF Health's facilities and physical infrastructure enable exceptional patient care, learning, research, and community service in a safe, sustainable, and efficient environment. As UF Health continues its One UF Health transformation, this leader will drive the integration of real estate, facilities, safety, and security functions into a unified systemwide model supporting operational excellence, risk mitigation, and workforce and patient safety. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field required; master's degree strongly preferred. Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare real estate, facilities management, and safety/security operations. Proven experience managing large, complex real estate portfolios and capital projects in a healthcare or academic health system environment. Strong knowledge of life safety codes, regulatory requirements, and emergency management best practices. Demonstrated success leading system-level safety and security programs. Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship management skills. Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CHFM, CHC, CPP, CHSP, PE, PMP).
