We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Electrical Engineer to join Edge Autonomy, with a focus on wire harness design and schematic creation. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical system design, technical drawings, and high-quality documentation for manufacturing. This mid-level role requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, attention to detail, and cross‑functional collaboration to meet harness design requirements.

Salary Range:
$115,000 - $152,000

Responsibilities
Design and develop detailed wire harness drawings and schematics, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Create and maintain documentation packages, including wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and specifications to support production and assembly.
Select appropriate materials and components, considering cost, reliability, and performance in line with design requirements.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including mechanical and systems engineering, to ensure seamless integration of harness designs into overall system architecture.
Support troubleshooting and issue resolution for wire harness‑related technical challenges during prototyping and production phases.
Conduct design reviews and provide input on manufacturability, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness of wire harnesses.
Assist with the testing and validation of wire harness assemblies, ensuring compliance with performance and durability standards.
Required Qualifications
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
Strong understanding of shielding, bonding, grounding, and EMI/EMC
Proficiency with CAD software for electrical design (AutoCAD, Altium, Zuken E3, SolidWorks Electrical)
Strong understanding of wire harness design principles, including schematic creation, routing, and connector selection
Familiarity with electrical standards and regulatory requirements for harness manufacturing
Experience with BOM creation and part documentation maintenance
3+ years of experience in electrical engineering focused on wire harness design or related work in complex systems
Proven track record of creating and managing technical drawings and manufacturing documentation
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with simulation tools for electrical system validation and analysis
Familiarity with industry standards (IPC/WHMA‑A‑620, etc.)
Experience with UAS, aerospace, or similar complex electrical systems
Experience working in a production environment with harness assembly manufacturing processes
