In this position...
The purpose of this critical role is to strategically own, define, and deploy enterprise-wide strategies to proactively manage and mitigate supply chain risks that could potentially impact Ford Motor Company’s global manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing organization, including Senior Managers and their teams, dedicated to resolving the most complex operational and financially distressed production supplier situations. You will develop and deploy comprehensive, data-driven risk mitigation frameworks aimed at protecting Ford’s Vehicle and Powertrain production plants worldwide. This role requires you to lead the execution of strategic interim and permanent corrective actions with suppliers, ensuring a robust and resilient supply signal to Ford Motor Company, in direct alignment with Ford’s Global Supply Chain Organization's strategic objectives. You will lead critical communications and strategic alignment across all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, cross-functional partners, and strategic suppliers, to safeguard production.
Qualifications
12+ years of progressive experience in Manufacturing Operations, Global Supply Chain Management, or related fields, with a significant portion in a strategic or global context.
7+ years of demonstrated experience in leading and developing large teams, including managing managers and fostering leadership talent.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Exceptional ability to speak, write, and present complex information fluently and persuasively in English to global executive audiences.
Deep and comprehensive understanding of global manufacturing processes, intricate supply chain dynamics, and strategic program management.
Proven ability to lead and deploy strategic, enterprise-wide solutions in highly ambiguous, complex, and fast-paced environments.
Significant domestic and international travel (up to 50-75%) is required, including availability for critical situations, extended hours, and weekend work to ensure business continuity.
Proven ability to develop and present compelling strategic narratives, data-driven insights, and executive recommendations to top leadership.
Advanced proficiency in data analytics, project management software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, with a focus on strategic application.
