We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Foundry Engineering Lead to be a key liaison between our internal design teams and an external foundry partner. Your mission will be to ensure our cutting-edge silicon photonics designs successfully navigate from initial fabrication runs to a stable, high-yield volume manufacturing stage.

Key Responsibilities

Foundry Management & Process Flow: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for one of our foundry engagements, managing the full lifecycle of new designs from tape-out to high-volume manufacturing; Oversee a fabrication site to ensure a synchronized and efficient process; Leverage experience with both CMOS and MEMS foundries to anticipate and solve multi-disciplinary fabrication challenges.

Risk Mitigation & Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential technical and logistical risks in the foundry process, developing and implementing clear mitigation strategies; Propose and drive solutions to technical problems encountered by the fab during initial engineering runs and throughout the volume ramp-up phase; Act as the expert liaison between foundry process engineers and our internal design teams to resolve fabrication-related issues.

Project Tracking & Coordination: Own the tracking of design progress through the foundry, providing detailed and timely status updates to stakeholders; Provide the necessary coordination and technical guidance to ensure all parties are aligned and working toward a successful manufacturing outcome.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.

7+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with a direct focus on foundry management and process integration.

Proven experience in managing the flow of new designs through Silicon Photonics foundries and into volume production.

A strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes: experience in both MEMS and CMOS foundry environments is essential.

Demonstrated ability to identify risks, propose technical solutions, and drive projects to completion in a foundry setting.

Excellent project management, communication, and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with advanced packaging technologies and their integration into the foundry process.

Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in a fabless or semiconductor design company.
