Position Summary Aetna Medicare Technology is seeking a Senior Manager, Technology Product Management to partner with one or more teams in our Sales & Acquisition product line, focusing on accelerating direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) growth, enhancing lead conversion, and enabling omnichannel engagement. This role requires a strategic thinker who leverages data‑driven insights to inform product vision, translates business objectives into actionable plans, and champions innovation in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Product Managers to define strategy, conduct market research, maintain an aligned roadmap, and bring the customer perspective into features and experiences.
Build and align roadmaps for your features or suite of features and provide recommendations to leadership on scope based on priorities and overall product vision.
Effectively communicate the product vision to team members.
Define team goals/metrics aligned with broader product objectives, and develop feature‑level measurement plans to evaluate progress toward outcomes aligned with business objectives.
Build, prioritize, monitor, edit, and maintain the flow and quality of the Team Backlog to provide teams with clear intent and ensure the delivery of business value, product health, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure that all backlog items, plus dependencies, are entered and maintained in the work management tool.
Provide input for testing through well‑written user stories with thorough acceptance criteria, leading refinement sessions and detailed feedback on completed user stories to ensure quality has been achieved.
Support testing, deployment, release, and post‑release activities, working directly with engineering and others to optimize the working team model and ensure alignments across higher‑level epics or requirements.
Set high‑level direction for a quarter/planning increment, manage dependencies, and provide transparency to execute upon planning and prioritized features.
Ensure that incremental learnings from product delivery are prioritized in the backlog.
Use performance data to identify issues and develop new insights and hypothesis about product health (including product usage, technical health, customer feedback, and other sources as appropriate).
Track team metrics that contribute to product OKRs, socialize progress and consistently reinforce objectives.
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, architecture, operations and other team members using agile practices.
Lead the team to produce the product or experience demo and present to stakeholders.
Serve as the point of contact for feature delivery and work directly with other Product Management, Delivery, and/or business roles as needed to ensure broader alignment with the Epic/initiative.
Set a positive culture by growing, coaching, and setting expectations on ways of working for team members. Provide actionable feedback, invest time in junior team members, and continue collaboration.
Mentor peers in execution best practices and optimize workflows for scalability and impact.
Required Qualification
7+ years required experience as a product owner, product manager, business analyst, or similar role on an agile team.
5+ years required experience in software product management, with demonstrated success shipping software through multiple releases managing the entire lifecycle from discovery to launch in an agile environment.
5+ years of experience overseeing end‑to‑end feature delivery, from requirements definition through launch and post‑release optimization.
Able to support east coast business hours.
Preferred Qualification
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience.
Experience with marketing technologies, sales enablement, and customer engagement workflows and systems.
Familiarity with customer data platforms (CDPs), data lakes, and real‑time analytics pipelines.
Familiarity with agile/collaboration tools like Rally, Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, Adobe Analytics, Figma.
Ability to drive cross‑functional teams to alignment in the midst of ambiguity.
Strong negotiation, organizational, management, analytical and people skills.
Data‑driven decision making and quantitative analysis skills.
General understanding of core software engineering concepts, including cloud technologies, DevOps, AI/ML.
Advanced oral and written communication skills, influencing stakeholders across levels.
Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Pay Range The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $118,450.00 – $284,280.00.
