True Classic is hiring a
Wholesale Planning Manager
to lead forecasting, inventory strategy, and cross-functional alignment for our fast-growing wholesale channel. This role serves as the strategic anchor of the wholesale planning function — driving data-backed decisions that optimize inventory health, margin, and partner performance. You will collaborate closely with Merchandising, Finance, and Sales to develop demand forecasts, manage open-to-buy (OTB), and shape strategies that support both our core replenishment business and seasonal growth opportunities.
This position partners with an executional counterpart who oversees day-to-day operational processes, allowing you to focus on strategic insights, scenario planning, and business partnership. Note: This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence 2x per week at our Culver City office and 1x per week at our Calabasas office.
Areas of Accountability
Strategic Forecasting & OTB Management
Lead the development and management of wholesale forecasts and OTB to deliver on financial targets.
Partner with Sales and Finance to align topline revenue goals with inventory investments and delivery timelines.
Translate insights into actionable strategies across core replenishment and seasonal assortments.
Build forecasting logic and tools to support more automated, accurate decision-making.
S&OP Alignment & Cross-Functional Partnership
Serve as the primary planning partner for Wholesale Sales, Merchandising, and Operations teams.
Drive bi-weekly S&OP discussions, connecting forecast, capacity, and buy plans into a single, cohesive view.
Collaborate with Finance to evaluate sales, margin, and cash flow impacts of planning scenarios.
Inventory Health & Channel Analytics
Monitor inventory by partner, category, and delivery window to identify risk and opportunity.
Recommend proactive actions (reorder, reflow, or markdown) to optimize sell-through and margin.
Develop consistent reporting frameworks to track KPIs such as WOS, sell-through, and in-stock rates.
Partnership with Planning Support
Provide strategic direction and oversight to executional support responsible for PO tracking, inventory reconciliation, and data management.
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in reporting and handoffs between U.S. and international teams.
Build scalable workflows and documentation to drive continuity as the function grows.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
4+ years of experience in planning, forecasting, or demand management — wholesale and apparel experience required.
Proven success managing OTB and delivering business results in an omnichannel environment.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or planning tools (experience with statistical forecasting tools ).
Strong financial acumen and storytelling ability — able to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
Experience collaborating across functions.
