Location: Boston, MA 02118 (Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
Setting: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU/ICU)
Employment Type: Locum tenens travel nurse
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 1/31/2026)
Shifts: 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend and holiday
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Unit Size: 17 beds, average patient ratio 1:2
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,370–$2,440 per week
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Minimum 2 years of recent MICU/ICU nursing experience
Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips (telemetry test required on day 1)
Preferred: Experience with radial artery sticks, CRRT, CCRN certification, blood draws, and IV skills
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
Provide high-quality critical care nursing to patients with respiratory failure, renal disease, ETOH withdrawal, sepsis, cardiac and respiratory arrest, and GI bleeds
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
Perform blood draws, IV insertions, and advanced clinical procedures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards
Adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment and deliver compassionate care to patients and families
