Kelley School of Business – IU (IN-BUS-IUINA). Kelley Indianapolis Career Services (KICS) is located within the Kelley School of Business on the Indiana University (IU) Indianapolis campus and operates under the Office of Kelley Academic and Professional Development (KAPD), which also houses the Kelley Undergraduate Program.

Employer Relations, within KICS, supports the highly competitive Kelley Indianapolis Undergraduate Program, Graduate Accounting Program, and the nationally ranked Evening Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program, serving over 1,600 students.

Role Overview The Associate Director, in collaboration with the Senior Associate Director of Career Services, will help drive the mission of Kelley Indianapolis Career Services (KICS) and Kelley Corporate Partners Program. The Associate Director is responsible for leading and managing the employer relations function within Kelley Indianapolis Career Services, focusing on the strategic delivery of comprehensive services to a global employer base and enhancing employer engagement across recruitment-related activities.

Department-Specific Responsibilities

Oversees all facets of employer relations, including experiential learning initiatives, career fairs, networking events, on-campus recruitment, employer visibility and engagement opportunities, the Career Services Advisory Board, the Corporate Partners Program, and employer development strategies.

Responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of key performance indicators and metrics related to employer engagement and outcomes.

General Responsibilities

Plans, coordinates, and markets on-campus recruitment events to connect students with potential employers.

Manages relationships with employers and alumni through regular communication.

Implements large-scale and/or off-campus events and participates in planning, employer relations, student marketing, event execution, and post-event evaluation.

Coordinates the logistics and scheduling of information sessions, on-campus interviews, class presentations, and networking events hosted by the career center, featuring alumni and employer representatives.

Oversees the online job and internship posting process and makes critical decisions during the review process to ensure all postings adhere to office and campus policies.

Develops, interprets, and enforces policies pertinent to third-party recruiting and other employment conditions.

Reports and analyzes recruiting data for detailed, annual evaluation; reports trends to manager and makes recommendations for improved operational efficiency.

Meets regularly with colleagues to analyze recruitment trends and plan employer relations strategies that enhance existing relationships and identify new opportunities.

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in business or related field.

Work Experience Required:

5 years in employer relations, career consulting, or related field.

Preferred:

Experience in supervising professional and/or support staff.

Experience effectively designing and executing strategic initiatives in relationship management and development.

Licenses and Certificates Preferred:

Valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University.

Additional Information This role requires effective communication and computer proficiency. The position involves sedentary work and occasional movement around office and campus. The person must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Position requires flexibility to work outside of standard business hours as needed.

This position is part of the IU Framework for Academic Advising and Career Development. It is eligible for a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in‑person work), subject to change.

Compensation $55,000 - $60,000 annually.
