Interventional Spine Physiatrist The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a BC/BE Interventional Spine Physiatrist to practice at the

UNC Hospitals Spine and Imaging Center . The physiatrist will primarily care for patients with back and neck pain, musculoskeletal problems and acute/chronic spine disorders. The physiatrist must provide comprehensive clinical care management and be trained in fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided procedures, including epidural, facet and sacroiliac joint injections.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Board eligible/board certified in PM&R.

MD or DO with NC medical license or willingness to obtain state license.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a record of interdisciplinary collaboration and a strong desire to enhance patient care quality. Successful completion of a Spine and/or Pain fellowship and experience in an academic medical center is desired. A mix of procedures will include, but not be limited to: SI joint injections, lumbar facet injections, lumbar medial branch blocks, lumbar RFA, lumbar interlaminar epidural steroid injections, lumbar transforaminal epidural steroid injections, cervical interlaminar epidural injections, cervical medial branch blocks, cervical RFA, peripheral joint injections.
