Key Responsibilities
Actively mentor junior staff and support overall development of the team.
Attend project meetings and provide solutions to technical and administrative issues.
Market our services. Maintain and further develop the client database.
Manage project budgets, prepare change orders, review invoices and assist with collection efforts.
Schedule, train and oversee subordinate staff members.
Prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
Oversee environmental projects, assist junior staff, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Prepare environmental reports, perform analysis and provide recommendations.
Perform peer/senior review of deliverables prior to submission for Principal review.
Host or attend project discussions with clients, follow up on reports.
Collaborate with other managers to make staffing decisions.
Manage asbestos, lead-based paint, mold and indoor air quality assessments.
Review daily reports and perform routine visits to active project sites for quality assurance.
Direct site activities and maintain continuous communication with subordinate field staff.
Understand sample collection, preparation, preservation and laboratory submission regulations and guidelines.
Lead client meetings and present report findings and conclusions.
Communicate with junior staff to direct field work performed by subcontractors and other staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering degree.
Minimum 5 years of related experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of environmental principles and applications.
Extensive knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods.
Ability to manage and develop new clients and seek opportunities to develop client relationships.
Review and provide feedback of field and laboratory testing by others, perform training and corrective action as necessary.
Excellent ability to manage and develop new clients.
Experience delegating/assigning projects and tasks to other staff while managing other projects independently.
