Position Overview The Division of Maternal‑Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCLA invites applications for the Director of the Labor & Delivery Unit (L&D). This leadership role will oversee the clinical, educational, and operational aspects of the Labor & Delivery Unit at the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center and will serve at the Associate or Full Clinical Professor level.

Responsibilities The Director of Labor & Delivery will:

Provide direct patient care in the inpatient setting and oversee clinical operations of the unit.

Collaborate with the Chair, Executive Medical Director, and other faculty to ensure high standards of patient care, teaching, and research.

Lead strategic initiatives, shared‑on‑call duties with Maternal‑Fetal Medicine and generalist pool, and outpatient practice in UCLA Health System Maternal‑Fetal Medicine offices.

Serve as a clinical leader and strategic partner, working closely with residents, nursing staff, and administration.

Qualifications Basic qualifications:

M.D. or D.O. degree.

Additional qualifications:

Ability to obtain a California Medical License; board certified or eligible in the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Maternal‑Fetal Medicine (MFM).

Preferred qualifications:

Excellent communication, administrative, and leadership experience.
