Position overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Integration Engineer to join our Digital Technology team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for crafting, developing, and implementing integration solutions that seamlessly connect systems, applications, and data sources across the organization. You will collaborate closely with diverse teams to ensure integrations are robust, scalable, and secure, while also driving continuous improvement in our integration strategies and technologies. *** Flexible to hire in Seattle, WA or San Francisco, CA *** What you\'ll do
Partner with product owners, business leads, architects, and developers to deliver integration solutions aligned with business and technical requirements. Architect and support middleware solutions using platforms such as Boomi and MuleSoft, including enterprise service buses (ESBs), messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ), and API gateways. Build and maintain integration flows using Boomi (Database, MSMQ, HTTP, Web Services, Email) and develop APIs across MuleSoft’s Experience, Process, and System layers. Work across Anypoint Platform components, including Exchange, Design Center, and API Manager. Install, configure, monitor, and solve middleware platforms to ensure high availability and performance. Implement quality assurance practices to ensure the delivery of reliable and scalable integration solutions. Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration builds, configurations, and support procedures; encourage collaboration across teams. Continuously evaluate and improve integration tools, processes, and standards. Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and guidelines related to integration and middleware solutions. Mentor and support junior engineers and contribute to overall team growth. Who you are
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting integration and middleware solutions. 3+ years of experience with API design and API management/gateway solutions. Comfortable working in complex, multi-functional technical environments. Skilled at distilling technical topics for a non-technical audience. Hands-on experience with enterprise integration platforms, Boomi required. Strong knowledge of: Integration protocols and standards (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) Web services and microservices architecture Canonical data models and schema design Experience with enterprise middleware (e.g., Oracle Fusion). Proficiency in working with RDBMS (SQL Server, DB2) and NoSQL databases. Experience in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure. Familiarity with source control and CI/CD tools, and strong testing discipline. Preferred Skills
MuleSoft Certification (Developer or Architect) is a plus. Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. Exposure to EDI integrations or ERP systems.
