Overview Electrical Components International (ECI) seeks a Global Cybersecurity Engineer to lead security initiatives across 39 manufacturing sites worldwide. The role is based in Southfield, Michigan and supports the enterprise information security program.

What You’ll Do

Research, evaluate, design, and implement information security solutions that comply with cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and standards.

Provide regular reporting on the status of the information security program to risk teams, senior leaders, and the board as part of strategic risk management.

Collaborate with IT and business partners to integrate security into hardware and software acquisition, installation, and configuration.

Analyze and recommend improvements to network, system, and application security posture.

Examine logs to identify security vulnerabilities and incidents.

Lead the review and update of security policies, architectures, and standards.

Respond to audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments.

Serve as the primary point of contact for security‑related incident escalations.

Manage the Cybersecurity Training platform to educate end‑users and IT teams.

Work independently and as part of a team, including on‑call nights and weekends.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (MA preferred).

Minimum 5 years of information security experience, especially in a cybersecurity engineering role.

Preferred certifications: CISSP, SSCP, CISM, or currently pursuing certification.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Zero Trust Architecture, cloud security principles, and compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC).

SIEM/SOAR operations, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and MITRE ATT&CK.

PowerShell, Kusto Query Language (KQL), and automation.

Incident investigation, root cause analysis, and remediation.

Network security fundamentals: VPN, firewall, monitoring, intrusion detection, web server, and wireless security.

Microsoft Technology stack expertise.

Endpoint and email security toolsets.

Database security, content filtering, vulnerability scanning, and anti‑malware.

Business‑needs focus and commitment to high‑quality service.

Decision‑making capabilities and influence of others.

Primary Location & Work Arrangement

Full‑time, on‑site position in Southfield, Michigan.

Relocation assistance not provided; candidates must be local or able to relocate at own expense.
