Jobot
Base pay range
$100,000.00/yr – $125,000.00/yr
Overview
Step into a role where your courtroom chops matter and your future is being built. We’re a full‑service Nevada firm with deep roots in litigation and a powerful presence in Las Vegas. The Los Angeles office handles complex defense work for key retail and commercial clients. The department is currently led by Jerry Busby, who will mentor the right person to manage core client relationships.
Responsibilities
Handle defense litigation matters in state and federal courts: drafting motions, discovery, hearings, and trial support. Appear regularly in court (motions, status conferences, trial). Manage the full lifecycle of cases from intake through resolution or trial. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and memos. Collaborate with senior attorneys and client contact teams. Cultivate internal and external relationships to build your own case flow. Originate new business and receive 10% of gross fee on your matters. Meet annual billing goals and participate in bonus incentives tied to firm revenue.
Qualifications
3–5 years of litigation experience with a consistent, solid work history. Admission to the Nevada Bar (other state bars a plus). Strong analytical, writing, and research skills. Confidence appearing in court; comfortable speaking and managing hearings. Motivation to take responsibility and grow into leadership. Trusted, professional demeanor – clients must believe in you. Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
Benefits
Direct line of sight to significant client responsibility and revenue growth. Mentorship: groomed to take over firm’s major clients. Hybrid work flexibility (some in‑office expected, but not 100%). 180–200 billable hour target – serious but not crushing. Bonus structure and 10% origination credit on new matters. Clear upward mobility path (associate → lead defense litigator). Strong support system with access to firm resources in other practice groups (tax, business, real estate). Generous benefits: medical, paid time off, retirement match, etc.
