Overview
Associate Director, Finance, US Parkinson's at AbbVie leads financial strategy for the Parkinson's Disease franchise. The role provides financial leadership, manages the volume forecast, owns the brand P&L, supports senior management decisions, and develops financial models for multi‑product launch assets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic finance business partner: provide narrative, robust financials, and deliverables reviewed with executive management.
Own the full P&L and deliver a big picture view while challenging financial components.
Develop accurate volume forecasting models and support scenario management with sound assumptions.
Drive plan, LRP and LBEs, integrating sales forecast, pricing and investment resourcing to meet corporate calendar deadlines.
Work closely with product lifecycle management teams for portfolio reviews and indication launch preparation.
Ensure adequate resourcing levels for new asset launches.
Serve as interface with other finance functions (NEC consolidation, Co‑Pay, Patient support, Demand).
Review labor product and depreciation (LBEs), coordinate supply chain topics, and run ad‑hoc analysis such as min/max volume for S&OP.
Provide decision support and special projects, offering ad‑hoc analyses and quarterly earning preparation.
Identify process and tool optimization opportunities within NEC and lead projects.
Delegate and coach a diverse finance team, providing career development and sustaining high performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
7–10 years of progressive related work experience.
Working knowledge of US GAAP, AbbVie accounting policies, and internal financial control framework (including SOX).
Strong communication skills to relay complex financial data in clear and simple terms.
Strong leadership with ownership and team building skills; ability to set goals, motivate, and hold individuals accountable.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced matrixed environment.
Self‑starter with strong initiative and inquisitive mindset.
High proficiency with Excel & PowerPoint; knowledge of SAP, BPC and PowerBi preferred.
