Job Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and skilled Staff Accountant to join our client's team and play a key role in managing our financial operations. This role is vital in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision‑making. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting within a manufacturing environment, strong problem‑solving skills, and an excellent work ethic.
Base Pay Range $70,000 – $80,000 per year
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
Oversee Accounts Receivable/Collections: generate and distribute sales invoices, post customer payments into ERP systems, and monitor AR aging reports with follow‑up collections.
Handle Accounts Payable functions: ensure timely entry of vendor invoices, collaborate with purchasing and receiving to resolve pricing and quantity discrepancies, and conduct weekly payment runs.
Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes for all locations.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
Contribute to new software implementations, such as ERP system upgrades and AP automation.
Support additional duties as necessary and collaborate in team‑driven initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Proficiency with accounting and ERP software (e.g., Global Shop, Epicor, or similar platforms) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Team‑oriented mindset with adaptability to meet dynamic business needs.
Preferred Skills and Experience None specified beyond required qualifications.
